Magical and fast pizza dough that's also vegan?! Yes! In this clip I show you a fun, quick, and easy 5-ingredient pizza dough recipe!
I learned this fool-proof recipe while I was sojourning at the Switzerland Vipassana Meditation Center; I was a Chef and Kitchen Manager there. We used it for the Children's' Meditation Courses and was a hit!
INGREDIENTS:
2 cups flour (all-purpose or GF flour)
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 tsp olive oil
2/3 cup warm water
INSTRUCTIONS:
Preheat your oven to 350°F - 400°F, depending on crust thickness and oven.
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Form a well and pour in the warm water and oil.
Using your hands, a whisk, or wooden spoon, mix until the dough is soft. If the dough is sticky, add a touch more flour; if it is dry, add a splash more water.
Lightly flour your surface area and a rolling pin, then roll dough into an approx 12-in circle. To make 2 smaller pizzas: divide the dough into 2, and roll into 2 8-in pizzas.
Transfer the dough base to a nonstick pizza base or large baking tray.
Spoon pizza sauce over the pizza base. Cover with a layer of vegan cheese, thinly sliced veggies, vegan meat, and fresh or dried Italian herbs.
Bake for about 15 min, or until golden brown.
Slice and enjoy!
